New Venture Night in April will be at the IT enterprises
The Who’s Who:
Professionals, entrepreneurs, CEOs, students, scientists, investors as well as any open-minded individuals interested in ideas centered around technology.
The Nature of the Night
Open discussion of ideas with intelligent feedback provided - this night is about deepening existing relationships, and starting new ones.
What kind of ideas you ask?
From a napkin sketch to a working prototype you wish to demonstrate, we’re looking for the spark not the business plan, company, or management team.
Desired Outcomes
Get feedback on your idea and professional opinions on how viable it is. Meet people with the skills you need for your team. Discover people you want to work with. And, hopefully you will leave with a better idea than you came in with!
Format:
6:00 Fill out name tags, mingle, have a tip jar out to pay for food. $5 donation for food and drink would be appreciated.
6:30 1 presentation- a startup, business, or technology person shares relevent experiences (to be announced).
6:45 3 pre-selected presenters pitch their startup ideas, or present a problem they're facing with their current startup. 2-3 minutes each.
7:00 everyone breaks up to brainstorm on the presentations, share work and network
8:00 Start cleaning up, wrapping up
The main change in the format is that we will be pre-selecting the presenters, and only having 3 of them each evening. In the open section of the night you can talk to the presenters, or talk to other people or just hang out.
